As we reflect on the year 2023, Oceans For All Foundation is filled with gratitude for the unwavering generosity of our sponsors, the unmatched support of our volunteers, and the dedication of our passionate employees.
Together, we have achieved significant milestones, advancing our mission to preserve and revitalize our oceans.
in 2023, we proudly opened our third shark nursery, a beacon of hope for marine life. This nursery is set to breed close to 100 juvenile sharks each year , making a substantial contribution to the repopulation of our reefs and the restoration of marine ecosystems.
Furthermore, we are proud to share that in 2023 we have successfully “resharked” the reefs around Phuket, releasing more than 250 juvenile bamboo sharks into their natural habitat. This effort is vital in preserving the delicate balance of marine ecosystems and ensuring the future health of our oceans.
In our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, we added two new eco-friendly coastal cleaner catamarans to our “Licence to Clean” fleet. These additions embody our dedication to keeping our coastlines pristine and safeguarding marine habitats.
Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our first eco-friendly catamaran, operating on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. This marks a significant step towards fostering eco-conscious practices in urban waterways, underscoring our dedication to global environmental initiatives.
In 2023, our “Licence to Clean” catamarans fleet successfully gathered floating plastic fragments, amounting to an impressive volume of 45,000 lt., equivalent to filling 45,000 standard 1-liter bottles.
In 2023, Oceans For All Foundation expanded its collaboration with government agencies to further support local communities. Additionally, we extended our awareness mission through TED talks, conferences, and workshops held not only in local and international schools but also with various resorts and their guests. These initiatives aim to educate and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the collaborative efforts of our sponsors and supporters not forgetting Oceans For All Foundation’s dedicated employees—from our captains and marine biologists to our administration officers. Your passion and commitment have truly made a positive impact on the health of our oceans.
As we embark on the journey ahead, we express our deepest appreciation for your continued support. Together, we look forward to creating an even greater impact in the years to come.
With heartfelt gratitude,
David Martin
