We planted the seagrass from our Sea Grass Nursery aquaria at the resort, where they grew safely for about 3 months so that we could replant them with a size advantage to help mother nature in order to expand the sea grass meadow faster. Thanks to Vincent Delsol from Pullman Phuket Panwa resort and his wonderful team.
Sea Grass meadows are extremely important as they provide food, shelter and nursery for the majority of marine life and in addition to this, they absorb 20 times more carbon dioxide than land plants. They are one of the best solutions to fight against ocean acidification caused by global warming. But today we loose the size of 1 football field of seagrass every 30min worldwide.
